A warm welcome to Georgette’s of Oxford a society serving Oxford and the surrounding areas for all things Georgian and Regency, as featured on the BBC dancing at Claydon House as well as dancing on Channel 5’s Buckingham Palace with Alexander Armstrong, and having danced by Royal command at Windsor Castle; the aim of the group is for members to explore and enjoy some of the past times of that era.

We hold twice monthly Regency and Georgian Country Dance classes in Headington on Fridays – one class open to all and the other for intermediate historical dancers.
Come along and attend your free trial class!

As well as historical dance classes, Georgettes partakes in costumed dance displays in stately homes, such as the Jane Austen House Museum, Windsor Castle, Wembley Stadium and Newstead Abbey.

We also have a programme of excellent speakers offering free talks on a variety of subjects, such as 18th Century literature, historical costuming and the Old Masters.

And lastly we also hold social get-togethers, both costumed and non-costumed including picnics, theatre and concert trips and Regency games evenings.

Further details can be found in the Dance, Talks and Socials pages.
